The "Alte Zunftscheune"
A gem with history and hospitality, the Alte Zunftscheue is located in the middle of Traben, next to the mighty grey quarry stone town hall building.
The name is meant to remind us of old guilds, honored here in the display of their traditional tools and implements.

this saying can be truly appreciated with us.
While the stomach is feasting upon Mosel specialties, the eyes can feast without end. Our collection of generational artifacts surpasses the amount of rareities of many museums.
Because it is impossible to take in everything in one evening, the guests often request to be “rotated” through the restaurant. Sit today on the venerable church pew in the old distillery, tomorrow in the gallery next to the beautiful wood staircase from 17th century, and the next day perhaps in the historical vaulted-ceiling cellar with an eight meter deep fountain and beautifully carved barrel floor from 1811- a favorite vintage of Goethe.
The romantic Scheune garden is also to be experienced.
The Cuisine
is good home cooking, oriented to the seasons and brings fresh Mosel-Frankish dishes and specialties to the table.
Juicy steaks from the grill, small pan, a variety of fresh salads, vegetarian dishes, and many tasty treats to be served with wine.
“Hausmacher Wurst” is still homemade of course.

are exclusively “regional wines” from the Mosel.
